PROJECT BRIEF
INTRODUCTION
Following Project 1b: Schematic Design, students are required to further refine and resolve their proposals into a comprehensive final design.
This phase focuses on integrating environmental, technological, structural, and technical strategies while strengthening the overall architectural quality. Lectures and consultations will support the development of poetics, tectonics, sustainability, building safety, façade design, aesthetics, and presentation techniques.
Environmental and structural considerations should enhance not only performance and buildability but also material expression and user experience.
As a final-year project, the design should demonstrate critical thinking, structural awareness, environmental responsibility, regulatory compliance, and a strong architectural impact, culminating in a well-resolved final presentation and design report.

Throughout ADP, I developed a stronger understanding of architectural design, from conceptual development and spatial planning to technical detailing and material exploration. Each project helped me connect theoretical knowledge with practical design decisions and gradually build my own architectural approach.
The site analysis challenged me to interpret different site conditions and identify relationships between movement, buildings, open spaces, and the surrounding urban fabric. Collaborating on the site model also allowed us to exchange ideas and solve design and modelling challenges collectively.
REFLECTION
People said Semester 6 was supposed to be a “chill” semester, but for me, it was probably the most stressful one yet. Project 1A started positively, especially because I finally felt that I had developed a strong concept rather than simply exploring forms. Although I was disappointed with the final grade, I was still proud of what we produced. The final 12 days, however, were intense, with delayed schedules, 3D printing and laser-cutting issues, renders that did not meet my expectations, and even losing my Photoshop file and having to redo my site plan. Despite everything, I managed to complete it, and the experience taught me that sometimes architecture is also about learning how to manage pressure, adapt to problems and keep moving forward.
Looking back from Foundation to Semester 6, I can clearly see how much I have grown—not only in my projects, but in the way I think and approach design. ADP has given me more than a collection of works; it has given me confidence, resilience and a stronger understanding of the designer I want to become. I chose architecture because I wanted to try it, and after everything I have experienced, I am leaving ADP knowing that I want to continue this journey into the architecture industry.
